Why Anthony Joshua’s Career Will Be Over By December – Andy Ruiz

Andy Ruiz says he would bring Anthony Joshua’s career to an end by defeating him against when the two of them meet for the second time in Saudi Arabia on December 7.

Ruiz had defeated AJ in June to win the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles, to the shock of many.
The heavyweight champion has also boasted that he would definitely win the December encounter.
He said:
“I’m excited to announce my rematch with Anthony Joshua. In the first fight, I made history and became the first-ever Mexican/American heavyweight champion of the world. I am grateful to Saudi Arabia for inviting me.
“I took it to AJ in ‘The Big Apple’ and I’m looking forward to ending his career in the desert. Don’t miss this fight!”

Rashford Is Now The Permanent Penalty Taker For Manchester United

Ole Gunner Solkjear has appointed Marcus Rashford as the new permanent penalty taker for Manchester United ahead of Paul Pogba.
This is coming after Pogba missed the penalty shoot-out against Wolves during the premier league encounter on Monday night.

BREAKING! See Why Pogba Could Still Move To Real Madrid

Mathias Pogba has claimed his brother, Paul, is “waiting” to leave Manchester United.
According to him, a move to Real Madrid could still happen, before the end of the Spanish transfer window.

Earlier this summer, Pogba admitted that he wanted to leave United as he is looking for a “new challenge”.
The World Cup winner is Zinedine Zidane’s major target, but so far, a transfer has not materialized.
Mathias Pogba, who joined Spanish fourth division side CD Manchego last month, claims his brother still wants to leave United and insists a late move to Madrid cannot be ruled.
“Zidane is one of the greats and I think that if the club give him what he wants, he won’t have a problem, but if they don’t give it to him, he’s going to have a hard time because what he wants is not going to happen, because right now it’s a little late.
“My brother is missing and I think he needs another midfielder.
“Of course Florentino [Perez] can get him, nothing is impossible in life.
“I don’t think he’s worth 200 million, but now the football world is like that, Manchester are going to ask for a lot, but not 200.
“It’s a delicate situation but the player has his personal goals, if you have to leave, well, that’s it.
“If you can’t stay and play where you are, you can stay and you’re done. I can’t assure you that he is going to stay at United.
“We know he wanted to move, but he’s not to blame. He’s waiting. He works hard and we’ll see what happens.
“In football you never know. Until September 2 everything can happen. ‘My brother’s dream is to win the Champions League,” Mathias said in an interview with El Chiringuito.

Lampard Proud Of Chelsea Despite Super Cup Defeat To Liverpool

Frank Lampard has labelled himself the worst loser in the world after watching Chelsea lose to Liverpool on penalties in the UEFA Super Cup.

A 2-2 draw in Istanbul in the first all-English encounter saw the game go to a shoot-out, with the Reds coming out 5-4 winners.
Liverpool converted all five of their spot-kicks and Tammy Abraham then failed to score his effort, with Adrian making the decisive save on his starting debut for the Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Chelsea, though, put in a vastly improved performance from their competitive bow under new head coach Lampard, who saw his side taken apart 4-0 away to Manchester United in the Premier League.
While content with his side’s performance, Lampard conceded he’s not someone to take defeats lightly.
“My overall feeling is one of pride. I’m a terrible loser, one of the worst in the world, but I’m happy with the team performance because we were very unfortunate,” Lampard told BT Sport.
“After Sunday, tonight was another level, and we were unlucky not to win. We’ve got three games now till the international break and we’ll try to win them all.
“Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham added an extra dimension when they came on, and were unlucky not to score.”
Abraham earlier won the penalty Jorginho converted to make it 2-2 and take the game to a shoot-out but the 21-year-old’s tame effort from 12 yards was saved by Adrian’s right leg, sparking wild Liverpool celebrations.
“I’ve told him not to worry,” Lampard said of the striker.
“I’ve missed penalties before, anyone can miss, but what I want to see is the confidence of a young player to step up.
“But people keep talking about the young players at Chelsea. Let’s talk about Jorginho and [N’Golo] Kante, and I could name a few others.
“We’ve got a quality bunch in there, a really good group, and we’re working hard. I’m trying to instill the way I want to play and there were so many good things tonight.”
The Blues must pick themselves up quickly ahead of a Premier League clash against Leicester City on Sunday with Lampard out to avoid a third straight defeat.

Man City Avoid Ban, Fined £315k For Transfer Breaches

Manchester City have avoided a transfer ban after being fined £315,000 by FIFA for breaches relating to international transfers and registration of players under the age of 18.
Chelsea were handed a one-year transfer ban and fined more than £460,000 in February after being found guilty of breaching rules about signing minors by FIFA.

FIFA officials have clarified why City were fined for breaching the same article as Chelsea, who were banned, with the world football’s governing body revealing City’s admission of responsibility was a factor in determining their punishment.
“In its decision on Manchester City, FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee took into consideration all specific circumstances of the case as well as the club’s cooperation in clarifying the relevant facts,” a FIFA spokesperson told Sky Sports News.
“It is important to stress that the specific circumstances of this case differ from previous cases involving breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18.”
City said the breaches arose after a “misinterpretation of the regulations in question”, adding in a statement that they have been fully compliant since December 2016.
City, who are still currently under investigations from FIFA and UEFA with regards to financial fair play, were found to have breached article 19 of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players.
FIFA’s statement added: “The protection of minors is a key element in FIFA’s overall regulatory framework relating to the transfer of players, and the effective enforcement of these rules is paramount, as has also been confirmed on various occasions by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.”

Iwobi: How I Was Convinced To Join Everton

New Everton signing Alex Iwobi has opened up on how a conversation with The Tofees’ manager, Marco Silva, and director of football Marcel Brands convinced him to join the club, Completesports.com reports.

Iwobi joined the Merseyside club on summer transfer deadline day from Arsenal, signing a five-year deal at Goodison Park.
The Nigeria forward came through the youth ranks at the Gunners, before going on to make 149 appearances for the club’s senior side.
And Iwobi, speaking to evertontv on Tuesday evening, has revealed the offer the Blues made him was just too good to turn down.
“I spoke to the manager and Marcel and they almost lured me in,” Iwobi said.
“The offer was too attractive for me to turn down.
“The manager was telling me, ‘There is a spot for you, we will take care of you’. Basically, all the things you want to hear as a player.
“I always had that youngster tag at Arsenal, so hopefully with this move I am able to make a name for myself in the Premier League and create history with Everton.”
Iwobi was Everton’s seventh and final summer recruit, and the 23-year-old is relishing the prospect of working and improving under Blues boss, Silva.
Iwobo added: “It is exciting times for Everton. I was able to look at the transfers and players they have brought in – some great talent.
“It is not just me. There were quality players here before [the summer] and they are still here.
“The manager has worked with Richarlison for a long while and made a name for him.
“Hopefully, he can do the same for not just me but Moise Kean and a few others who came in, too.”
